Relax and enjoy the quiet atmosphere here in the park and explore the many lakes, streams and canoe routes at the edge of the scenic Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park. Situated along the southern edge of the Canadian shield and encompassing 37,587 hectares with few interior roads. The Kawartha Highlands Signature Site is the largest protected area in Ontario south of Algonquin Provincial Park.<\/h3><\/div>

The natural beauty of this landscape with its rugged hills, small lakes, forests, wetlands and rocky barrens features some of the best scenery Ontario has to offer. Visitors to the area enjoy numerous recreational activities like boating, water skiing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, hiking or just being in the wilderness. Backcountry camping, fishing, or winter sports like snowmobiling.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
